Mallory and Logan’s love story began long before they tied the knot at The Prologue in New Albany, Indiana. They grew up in the same Bloomington neighborhood and even dated briefly in high school. Years later, they rekindled their romance and moved to Denver together, where they adopted their dog, Scotch. Now back in Indiana, they share a home in Bloomington—talk about a full-circle moment. The Prologue: A Hidden Gem in New Albany
This was my first wedding at The Prologue, and I hope it won’t be my last! The venue is located in the charming town of New Albany, Indiana, just across the Ohio River from Louisville, Kentucky. Known for its Victorian architecture, New Albany is home to a historic district filled with restaurants and boutiques. The Prologue sits right among them, offering both convenience and a serene escape from the town’s hustle and bustle.
Mallory and Logan’s ceremony took place at Jardin at The Prologue, where a lush, New Orleans–inspired garden and elegant architecture come together to create a one-of-a-kind atmosphere. The courtyard is a versatile space strung with bistro lights, perfect for al fresco dining—and it also made a beautiful setting for bridal portraits.
Bridal Portraits and a Downtown Stroll
I loved the relaxed pace of this wedding day! Because Mallory and Logan chose to do a first look, we were able to capture all of their bridal portraits before the ceremony. We started in the courtyard against an antique brick backdrop, then headed out front to explore the downtown street that The Prologue calls home. As they strolled arm in arm, their love for each other and anticipation for the ceremony were evident in every shared glance. We wrapped up back in the courtyard just in time for their guests to begin arriving.
