Alyssa & Nick’s wedding at the Grand Hall at Union Station was a wedding photographer’s dream! From the stunning venue space to their beautiful wedding ceremony, I am so grateful to be a part of their big day! Their love story began when Alyssa was looking to get a free gym membership. She decided to get a job at the nicest gym in Indiana, which happened to be Lifetime. Great minds think alike because that’s where Nick worked too. They got to know each other over 8-hour shifts folding towels at the gym. Not the most exciting job, but definitely goes by faster when you get to work with someone you really like!
When it came time to propose, Nick proposed to Alyssa on her birthday last September on a trip to Michiana shores, it was so perfect! They have been together for 4.5 years and can’t wait for what’s to come. They both grew up in Indianapolis and consider it home so deciding to get married there was a no-brainer.
Wedding at Grand Hall at Union Station
Alyssa wore a lovely gown with large lace detail on the bodice that trickled down into the a-line tulle skirt. It was such a perfect dress for their wedding venue at Union Station. The couple did a first look at the Grand Hall and the photos were absolutely stunning! The large stained glass window was the perfect backdrop for them to share this special moment together before walking down the aisle.
When it was time for their ceremony, they were surrounded by family and friends in the Grand Hall at Union Station. It was such a gorgeous venue, I really could not take enough photos! It was beautiful to see them exchange vows and become husband and wife – I am so excited for them as they start this next chapter in their life together.
After the ceremony, we roamed around the city taking photos in front of so many great backdrops! It was hard to choose which was our favorite. We also got so many great photos in their stunning venue, as well as some vintage photos with the train as well.
Later, it was time for the reception where the party really began! Their reception space was beautifully decorated with stunning gold decor and plenty of fresh flowers. One of my favorite parts of the night was when the groom serenaded his new bride while playing the guitar. It was such a beautiful memory for the two of them to share, and one they will never forget.
Photography Notes From The Couple
When it came to photography, Alyssa just wanted to have all the memories captured so they can look back and remember their best day ever. She wants to be able to reminisce about the big events of the day, but also the little details that not everyone may pick up on. She really wanted to focus on capturing the joy, love, and excitement of the biggest event of their lives in pictures! I think we did just that, and more!
