Hannah and Zack’s wedding at the Chapel Shelter in Riverview Park was so much fun! Zack is from Bethel Park, PA, a suburb outside Pittsburgh. Hannah is from Bloomington. The couple met on the first day of an internship orientation at the Government Accountability Office in D.C. in 2016. The two of them thought it was funny that Hannah was going to Indiana University for her grad degree, and Zack was finishing his accounting degree at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Zack and Hannah have now been together for 5 years. They have two cats and a dog and bought a home in Maryland that they have been working on fixing up. They still work at the Government Accountability Office.
Wedding Photography on the North Shore of Pittsburgh
In order to prepare for their big day, I arrived in Pittsburg two days before the wedding to explore the city since I had never visited the venue. As a wedding photographer, I like to be familiar with the venues I will be working at. I also scouted their wedding location and other locations around the city that they wanted to use for photos because I wanted to make sure I was prepared for where to go and what surroundings I was going to deal with. I always like to ensure that I am able to get the best possible angles and backdrops for my couples.
When their big day arrived, Hannah and Zack got ready at their AirBnB with their families. Hannah wore a stunning Jenny Yoo gown with a simple bedazzled belt. When they were ready, it was time for their first look on the rooftop of their AirBnB with gorgeous backdrops of the city. They even exchanged private vows between the two of them, which made the moment even more special.
Before the ceremony, we had some time for their bride and groom portraits at the North Shore of Pittsburgh by the Alleghany River. There were so many stunning locations that it was hard to choose! We found a gorgeous spot with tons of greenery, and we were even visited by an adorable deer who let us take a few photos with them in the background.
Wedding at the Chapel Shelter in Riverview Park
When it was time for the ceremony, Hannah and Zack were married in front of their family and friends at the Chapel Shelter in Riverview Park. It was a beautiful ceremony that really showcased their love. Afterward, it was time for the reception. They had tons of fun lawn games, like Jenga, for the guests to enjoy. Their dinner was catered by a popular Pittsburgh food truck called Burgh Bites, which added a fun element to dinner. The rest of the night was spent enjoying the company of their friends and family. It was so much fun to capture on camera. Just another reason why I love my job!
If you are planning a wedding in Indiana or beyond (I love destination weddings), be sure to get in touch. I would love to hear everything that you have planned for your upcoming wedding day.
