I had so much fun shooting Emily & Braden’s rustic forest wedding. The couple met during lunch at Anderson University at the end of their freshman year. They started talking and it took Braden a month to ask her out – but the rest is history! Braden and Emily are both athletes and they were able to bond over their love of sports. Emily loves soccer and lacrosse and Braden runs cross country and track.
Rustic Forest Wedding
For their wedding day, they had a beautiful rustic forest wedding at their vacation cabin in Spencer, Indiana. Their ceremony and reception spaces were filled with special touches that reflected them as a couple. They decorated the trees in the forest with different signage and photos of their loved ones. Emily wore the most beautiful strapless dress from Davids Bridal. Her bridesmaids wore gorgeous wine-colored gowns from Azazie which really fit the rustic elegance theme of their wedding day so perfectly
Emily decided to do a special first look with her dad. These are always such a special moment for the bride and her father to create a beautiful memory together before walking down the aisle.
For their ceremony, they got married outside in the forest amongst their family and friends. Their ceremony space was decorated with a lovely hexagon arch that was beautifully draped with fresh flowers. After the ceremony, they went into their reception for an evening of celebration and dancing. They are big fans of Mexican food, so they of course, served tacos!
The entire night was so much fun, I loved seeing everyone out on the dance floor.
