This area is especially popular in the fall! Couples dreaming of a classic fall backdrop love getting married here. Today I am excited to share a few tips to help you plan your fall wedding in Brown County State Park.

Venue Spaces at Brown County State Park

When it comes to choosing your venue, there are so many shelters to choose from as well as event spaces inside the Abe Martin Lodge. The Alison Peabody room is most popular for receptions at the lodge. There are a variety of shelters around the park and are a great place to have a ceremony and have a reception in the same spot

All the shelters are very affordable to rent for the day, which is amazing. However, you need to rent the space a year from your wedding date because they are so popular during the fall season. The most popular shelters are the Lower and Upper shelters. The Nature Center has an amphitheater which is very popular for smaller ceremonies and the amphitheater near the lodge is popular for larger weddings.

If you decide to just have your ceremony in the park and want an indoor reception, there are plenty of spots close by! Nashville is a small town closeby, that has multiple rustic spaces. If you are having an intimate elopement, I personally love the Corner Stone Inn! You can also have your reception at Bloomington, which is a short drive away. When choosing your venues, definitely make sure to consider the logistics of transportation for you and your guests as well.

My favorite places to visit are Strahl Lake, Ogle Lake, and the vistas near the upper shelter. You honestly can’t go wrong when it comes to your portraits here. The gorgeous fall backdrops always create such gorgeous photos that you can cherish for years to come.
