Elizabeth and Aaron got married last February, and they had this intimate and rustic wedding at Brown County State Park. They’re such a fun couple, and their wedding was the same! They also had some great details, like blankets for their guests and a Jenga guestbook! They had their ceremony at the Nature Center Amphitheater, and their reception at the Abe Martin Lodge was beautiful.
Opposites Attract
Elizabeth and Aaron met while celebrating the local bowling alley’s final night. Aaron had recently moved to Indiana from Texas to help out his grandmother. Elizabeth had been extremely close to his sister growing up but had never met Aaron despite hanging out with many family members. They all hung out as a group that evening, and Elizabeth and Aaron continued to keep in touch. Elizabeth says everything just clicked!
Elizabeth says that their relationship is full of laughter, though she considers Aaron to be the funnier and more lighthearted one. They have almost complete opposite tastes on everything. He’s into metal music while she prefers indie folk music. She could eat veggies all day long while Aaron would just eat meat and bread/potatoes! They might be different, but their relationship works, and they are able to support each other and push each other to grow.
Abe Martin Lodge Reception
Brown County State Park is Indiana’s largest park. It’s a gorgeous area, and the Abe Martin Lodge is a great choice for a rustic reception! Elizabeth and Aaron held their reception in the Allison Peabody Room, which had wood floors and exposed beams. There are even these amazing fireplaces on each end of the room. It was the perfect place for Elizabeth and Aaron.
It was so wonderful shooting Elizabeth and Aaron’s wedding, and it was especially great to see everyone having so much fun during their Abe Martin Lodge reception. I would love to hear about your wedding day too!
