Quinn and Kayleb’s Brown County State Park wedding took full advantage of the beautiful natural surroundings! They exchanged vows at the Nature Center Amphitheater overlooking thousands of acres of lush forest. Then, they joined their loved ones in the Upper Shelter for an intimate reception with yard games and delicious desserts. It was a memorable day, and I’m so glad I could capture it!
Quinn and Kayleb are high school sweethearts who first met in their middle school band. They shared a close friendship for several years and eventually developed feelings for each other. The rest was history! Now, they enjoy doing all kinds of outdoor activities together, which inspired their outdoor wedding day. They also share an adorable four-year-old beagle named Molly. The couple’s primary goal for their wedding day was to come away with cherished memories, and their laid-back approach helped them do just that!
Brown County State Park Wedding
Since Brown County State Park isn’t a traditional venue with getting ready facilities, Quinn and Kayleb chose to spend the morning with their bridal parties at the nearby Olde Magnolia House. The charming, historic rental home was the perfect place for them to relax, and it looked beautiful in photographs! Then, everyone traveled the short distance to Brown County State Park for the couple’s ceremony. Quinn and Kayleb chose the park as their venue because of its stunning natural features. The trees and beams of bright spring sunlight ensured beautiful photographs of the day!
The couple’s ceremony at the Nature Center Amphitheater was exceptionally breathtaking! There are nearly 16,000 acres of forest in Brown County State Park, and the view from the amphitheater puts them on display. As Quinn and Kayleb exchanged vows, their loved ones could gaze past them to the serene forest below. Meanwhile, a triangular arch adorned with pampas grass, roses, and succulents framed the couple. The dried floral elements enhanced the ceremony’s organic, outdoorsy feel.
Blue and Lavender Wedding Color Palette
Quinn and Kayleb selected a palette of pastel earth tones for their outdoor wedding day, including lavender, dusty blue, sage, and soft yellow. Quinn wore a flower crown interwoven with sprigs of faux lavender and looked like a forest princess! Her bouquet also featured lavender, arranged with cosmos, gypsophila, sea holly, and eucalyptus. Even Kayleb’s outfit incorporated the color palette! He wore a floral necktie with blue, lavender, and green accents.
The couple’s bridal party also wore blue and lavender tones! Quinn’s bridesmaids wore floor-length blue dresses that looked so beautiful on camera. They carried smaller versions of Quinn’s bouquet and wore blue statement earrings to complete their looks. Meanwhile, Kayleb’s groomsmen wore blue and lavender neckties. The pops of color complemented their tan suits perfectly!
Brown County State Park was the perfect place for this outdoorsy couple to exchange vows and begin their life as husband and wife. I had so much fun documenting it all! I would love to connect with you and discuss photography for your Indiana wedding. Inquire today to learn more!
