Courtney and Michael’s wedding at Switchyard Park Pavilion was a sweet, family-centered celebration of their love! I’m so glad I could be there to capture every moment.
These two met on a blind date that Michael’s sister and Courtney’s friend arranged. All they knew was that they were meeting for sushi on a Friday night—nothing about each other! They didn’t even have each other’s phone numbers until an hour before the date, so their relationship began on a clean slate. They hit it off, and the rest was history!
Wedding at Switchyard Park Pavilion
Courtney and Michael’s wedding day began at the beautiful home they share, the same place we shot their engagement session! They got ready, surrounded by the comforts of home, then met each other in the front yard for a first look. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, they saw each other in their wedding attire for the first time. When Michael saw his stunning bride, his face had the sweetest expression!
Then, the couple and their loved ones headed to Switchyard Park Pavilion for their ceremony and reception. This versatile, low-key venue is perfect for Bloomington couples who want a simple yet beautiful wedding day! A wooden ceremony arch set the stage for the couple’s vows to each other, decorated with eucalyptus and white chiffon drapery. The couple affirmed their commitment in the presence of their loved ones, then performed a unity sand ceremony with sand dyed to match their wedding colors!
Family-Centered Wedding Reception
The fun continued with Courtney and Michael’s reception inside the Pavilion. Their primary desire for their wedding day was to enjoy every moment and see all their loved ones having fun, and they got that wish! The Family-Friendly DJ played top hits that everyone could enjoy. Meanwhile, a table filled with board games entertained guests who didn’t feel like dancing. But the best part was the food, catered by all of Courtney and Michael’s favorite area restaurants! With Chick-fil-A, Taste of India, Aver’s Pizza, La Charreada, and Siam House to choose between, their guests certainly didn’t go hungry.
