Lauren & Jason’s Wedding at The Barn at Timber Ridge was such an absolute joy to be a part of! Lauren is originally from the Chicago suburbs and came to Indiana for college. The two of them met in the IUPD Cadet program. After meeting, they started dating relatively soon after. Although their relationship went quickly from the outside perspective (they moved in together relatively quickly), to them and those closest to them, knew it was a natural progression. As a couple, they both love water, country music, and experiencing new things together. Lauren loves to travel, and Jason is more of a homebody, but they both enjoy adventuring together. As a wedding photographer, I was so excited to be able to capture their wedding day as they embark on this new adventure together!
Wedding at The Barn At Timber Ridge
On their wedding day, they both got ready separately at their wedding venue. Lauren wore a beautifully detailed A-line gown from Ivry Lane that fit her like a glove. Jason and his groomsmen all got ready together and wore matching cowboy hats that really set a fun tone for the day! One special thing that I loved about this wedding was that Lauren did a first look with her bridesmaids and groomsmen. You can really tell what a tight-knit group this is and how much they all care about each other. It was so much fun to capture on camera!
After the first looks with the bridal party, it was time for the bride and groom’s first look together! This is always one of my favorite parts of the wedding day, and it was the same with Lauren and Jason. They were so thrilled to see each other and share that special moment together before walking down the aisle.
Once it was time for them to tie the knot, their outdoor ceremony began. It was such a beautiful day and there was so much love in the air. After the ceremony, we were able to take some gorgeous bride and groom portraits around the venue. There were so many beautiful outdoor locations with tons of greenery in the background that I know they will have a hard time choosing their favorite photos! One of my favorite elements to photograph, apart from the couple, was Laurens’s stunning bouquet, it was a perfect mix of fall-colored wildflowers and pampas grass giving it a bohemian feel, perfect for their wedding!
Wedding Photography Requests
When it comes to wedding photography, I always like to make sure I chat with my couples before their wedding day to make sure I focus on the elements of their event that they want to capture the most. With Lauren, she really just wanted to have a great day! She wanted to make sure we focused on capturing pure moments of them being in love, so they have an accurate representation of how happy they make each other. Their love was present on their faces in every photo we took. I know they will have beautiful memories to look back on as they start their married life together.
