There is something so special about capturing the beauty of Florida during a sunset session. I took a much-needed mini vacation in July to Panama City Beach, Florida. After spending some time enjoying the Florida beaches during the summer, I wanted a day to network with other wedding vendors. I really wanted to do a mini-styled shoot to get content at the beach. Where better to do a beach session than in Florida, right?
I got connected with a wedding photographer who has just started photographing engagements and weddings, and we got to collaborate and put this incredible styled shoot together. The vision for the shoot was something very soft and romantic. I rented a rowboat, which was the perfect prop for the session. We had so much fun shooting in and around the rowboat. It gave the session such a whimsical feel. We also brought in some beautiful flowers by Magnolias Flowers. The flowers were a fun element that we played around with. At the end of the session, we even popped some champagne to celebrate an incredible session. This always makes for such fun photos!
Our models were also so much fun to work with. Our bride wore a lovely white maxi dress. The off-the-shoulder look was perfect and added to the beachy feel of the session. The groom was sporting a casual light blue button-down and then added a more formal blue jacket to change up his look a bit. The coordinating colors worked perfectly with the beach’s soft grey and blue background.

When it comes to beach photography, you never know what the weather is going to be like. Luckily, the weather was absolutely perfect. We got so lucky that the wind was just the right amount to keep us cool from the Florida summer heat, but not too much that everyone’s hair started flying. The clouds gave such soft lighting and provided the perfect backdrop! The sun stayed hidden for most of our time there, which really gave us the perfect soft lighting and provided the soft glow we were looking for. The colors in the sky were just stunning too! We really couldn’t have asked for a more perfect night!
On top of an incredible vacation to Florida, I added another successful styled shoot to the list! It is amazing to get to work with such incredible vendors from all around the country! The wedding industry is such a tight-knit community of creatives, and I love how we get to collaborate and support each other!
