Josephana and Peter’s summer wedding wasn’t just absolutely beautiful, but it was such a special celebration of two cultures! Josephana and her family are from Myanmar, and the couple met when they moved to the U.S. The couple wanted their wedding to not just be about them, but also about their families joining together.
They chose Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne for both their summer wedding and the reception. We did their first look on the grounds of the church, which had the most incredible lighting. It was such a special moment, and Peter couldn’t help but tear up when he saw his bride! Having a first look really lets couples get those nerves out of the way, and have a moment together just the two of them.
Summer Wedding with Sunset Portraits
After their ceremony, which was inside the church, the couple went outside for some more portraits. The bridesmaids wore mix and match blush dresses. The groomsmen wore classic black suits, with blush accents. It was the perfect palette for summer! As the sunset, we made sure to get some classic sunset portraits. Called golden hour, this time right before the sunsets gives us the best lighting!
I really believe that photography is about documenting a glimpse of your happiness to look back on for the rest of your lives. It is always an hour when couples let me document their day! I know they will look back on these images for years to come. Whether we’re working together for your wedding day, portraits, or boudoir sessions my goal for you is to walk away feeling overjoyed with your photos. If you are planning a wedding in Indiana or the Mid-West, reach out! I would love to be there to photograph your day!
