Marc and Jamie’s wedding at The Ritz Charles Garden Pavilion was absolutely stunning. The two of them are such an amazing couple, and I am so grateful I was able to photograph their wedding! They grew up in the same hometown, but since Marc is a few years older, they never really ran into each other. They ended up meeting while we were out with mutual friends one night in 2018, and then a few days later, Marc found Jamie on social media and messaged her. She wasn’t interested at first because she didn’t really have time, but thankfully Marc kept trying, and she finally agreed to go to dinner with him. They became inseparable!
They officially started dating on July 14th, 2018. Marc asked her on a date a few times before she finally said yes. It was a very busy time in her life so she didn’t really feel like she had the time to invest in someone. However, he was very persistent, and she finally said yes! After their first date, she was very smitten and was so glad she finally agreed to date him.
Jamie is pretty sure she told all of her friends after our first date that she was going to marry him (how cute is that!?). They instantly connected and quickly bonded over their shared faith, values, goals, and hobbies. The rest is pretty much history! They have done so many fun things together since their first date, from traveling and concerts, to sporting events. They have even bought a house and got a puppy! Jamie keeps Marc grounded, and he certainly keeps her wild and spontaneous.
When it came time for them to tie the knot, they both got ready separately. Jamie had a first look with her bridesmaids and then later with her dad in front of the Chapel. I love when my couples decide to do first looks with their bridal parties as well, it really gets everyone excited for the rest of the day to come! And doing a first look with a family member really lets the moment be quiet between the two.
After, it was time for Marc and Jamie to have their special first-look moment. They did their first look at The Palladium at the Center for the Performing Arts. They are so sweet, and their love came through in all their first-look photos. After the first look, we had some extra time for portraits of the bride and groom around the area. There was no shortage of beautiful locations to stop at for some photos.
Then it was finally time for them to walk down the aisle. Their ceremony took place at the Chapel at The Ritz Charles. Afterward, they threw quite the party during their reception at The Garden Pavilion. They danced the night away with their guests, and it was an absolute blast to be a part of! When I asked the couple what they wanted out of their big day, they said they wanted to be intentional about spending time together since most of the day is spent surrounded by so many others. I think they found the perfect balance!
