A Personal Nashville, Indiana Wedding at The Barn at Timber Ridge

As a Bloomington, Indiana wedding photographer, one of my favorite things is seeing the details each couple includes on their wedding day. These little additions tell so much of their story and create a truly memorable day. Kristy and Gavin’s Nashville, Indiana Wedding at The Barn at Timber Ridge was full of these personal touches. Their seating chart was lined with pictures of the bride and groom as children, and they displayed wedding photos from earlier generations around the reception space. The most touching, however, was the couple’s tribute to Kristy’s father who passed away a few years ago. They also had everyone dance to ‘The Devo Hat Song,’ a family tradition, and passed out bright red hats to their guests!

First Look and Ceremony at The Barn at Timber Ridge in Nashville, Indiana

The Barn at Timber Ridge is a beautiful wedding venue in Nashville, Indiana. The picturesque barn has lake views and a beautiful outdoor areas for photos. Kristy and Gavin had their first look outside with rich green foliage in the background. Gavin was absolutely stunned when he saw Kristy in her dress, and I understand why! Kristy looked flawless in her gown from With Love, Sophia’s in Indianapolis.

Shortly after, Kristy entered the wedding ceremony on her mother’s arm. Everyone’s faces lit up as she walked down the aisle to join Gavin and the officiant at the altar. Their wedding ceremony was full of smiles and unique touches, like watering a plant together to symbolize their growing love! After the ceremony, we took couple’s portraits around the venue grounds, stopping to get some photos with their golden retriever and capture their incredible getaway car: a black corvette with the license plate “Happily Ever After.”

Personal Details Throughout the Wedding Reception

After their portraits, Kristy and Gavin joined their guests in the Timber Ridge Barn for dinner and dancing! The rustic interior of the barn added charm and warmth to this lovely wedding day. Every element of decor was personal and intentional, from the photos of Kristy’s dad to the photos of the young bride and groom on the seating chart.

The dance floor opened soon after dinner, speeches, and cutting the cake. After opening with the Devo hat song, the dance floor was full all night long! It only emptied when The Walking Waffle Co. arrived to deliver a late-night snack! Kristy and Gavin love waffles, so much so that they even dubbed their wedding hashtag #waffleywedded!
