Mackenzie and Adam had a beautiful fall wedding at Ivory Foundry, a venue you may remember from Madi and Devon’s “I dos”! It was a September wedding, so the weather in Indianapolis was gorgeous, perfect for outdoor portraits. I provided all-day wedding photography to capture every moment, from Mackenzie’s getting-ready morning with her mom and bridesmaids to the epic dance party that ended the night. I’m honored I could help Mackenzie and Adam document these priceless memories!
The bride and groom are native Hoosiers who attended Indiana University and Purdue, respectively (Adam insists he’s converting Mackenzie into a Purdue fan, although she disagrees!). They met on Hinge in June 2020 and went on their first date at a Mexican restaurant in Speedway. The rest is history! They enjoy being active, eating at restaurants, and exploring new places together.
Ivory Foundry is one of my favorite Indianapolis wedding venues because you can spend the whole day there! Mackenzie and her bridesmaids spent the morning getting ready in the second-floor Prep Suite, while Adam and his groomsmen used the first floor. Once Mackenzie was in her gown, it was time for a first look with her dad, then with Adam! I loved capturing these emotional moments as Mackenzie’s dad and Adam saw how stunning she looked as a bride.
Then, it was time for the ceremony in the industrial-chic space featuring exposed steel beams and an original brick wall. The couple exchanged vows underneath a wooden square arch adorned with classic white florals and greenery. Later, after cocktail hour and portraits, the couple and their guests reconvened in Ivory Foundry’s reception space to dine and dance! Blue tablescape details, including vintage glassware, gauze runners, and satin napkins, lent a timeless feel to the modern space.
Mackenzie and Adam wanted to take outdoor portraits with each other and their wedding party between their ceremony and reception. We looked at a few locations in downtown Indianapolis and decided to use the Indiana War Memorial! It was a perfect portrait-taking spot, with a wide front staircase and carved gilt doors. After the wedding party portraits, I whisked the newlyweds away for their photos. There was a short rain sprinkle, but we whipped out a cute clear umbrella and carried on!
This fall wedding at Ivory Foundry was full of love between family, friends, and the newlyweds, most of all! Whether you plan to say “I do” at this unique venue or elsewhere in Indianapolis, I would be honored to document it. I’ve captured wedding days of all kinds, from this floral-filled summer soirée to this intimate outdoor elopement.
