Lea and Shawn first met at the dog park in 2020. They bonded over their love for their pups, outdoor adventures, and good food, and it wasn’t long before they began dating. The rest is history! It was my honor to capture their wedding at Ivory Foundry Weddings & Events.
Bridal Portraits at White River State Park
Lea and Shawn’s wedding day was bright and sunny, setting the tone for a joyful day of celebrating!
The couple opted for a first look, which we photographed underneath the bridge at White River State Park in downtown Indianapolis.
Their bridal party and beloved pups were there to share in the special moment with them. I love how this couple’s fun, lighthearted energy came through in the images—especially the one of their happy dance after seeing each other!
After the first look, we also shot portraits of the bride and groom and their bridal party in White River State Park. The mix of lush greenery and urban backdrops perfectly conveyed the aesthetic of an industrial-chic summer wedding.
Naturally, Lea and Shawn’s fur babies-turned-matchmakers joined them for a few photos! Lea looked stunning in her simple, sleeveless crepe gown, while Shawn kept cool in the July heat in a tan linen suit.
Ivory Foundry Wedding Day Details
The wedding design, crafted by Flora + Flame, featured summer florals in ivory, peach, and soft pink shades.
Lea carried a loosely structured bouquet filled with favorite seasonal blooms, including dahlias, garden roses, and miniature mat daisies.
Later, the reception decor at Ivory Foundry featured the same flowers on the tablescapes and hanging from the ceiling over the sweetheart table. Warmly glowing amber lightbulbs also hung from the ceiling, creating a whimsical effect in the industrial, modern space.
