Faith and Cody’s Rose Well House elopement was a tribute to their past and the start of a beautiful future! Although both attended Indiana University Bloomington, they never met while in school. As fate would have it, their paths didn’t cross until the pandemic, when they met on Hinge. Both work in healthcare and have lived all over, but now reside in Indiana. They love to travel, spend time in the great outdoors, and enjoy quality time with family. I had so much fun getting to know this sweet couple and am honored they chose me to document their elopement!
Rose Well House Elopement
After Cody proposed, he and Faith knew they would take an unconventional approach to their wedding day. They wanted to avoid all the usual trappings and instead keep the focus solely on their love (which I I love to hear!) Ultimately, they decided on an intimate vow exchange at Rose Well House on the Indiana University campus. Later in the year, they plan to host a reception for loved ones at Bloomington’s Far Gallery.
The couple hired me to photograph their elopement because I’m a Bloomington local and have experience taking photos on campus. I was so happy they chose Rose Well House, one of the oldest remaining structures on campus, for their vow exchange. It’s a spot I always return to when shooting weddings or engagements there! Rose Well House has garnered a reputation for romance and is a popular spot for marriage proposals. Some even say that if you kiss someone beneath the structure at the stroke of midnight, they’ll be your romantic partner for life!
Bridal Portraits on the Indiana University Campus
After Faith and Cody exchanged their vows, they signed their marriage certificate to make it official! Then, I whisked them away for bridal portraits around the Indiana University Bloomington campus. The surroundings were picturesque, with historic architecture and flowers in full bloom. The Memorial Union Building, with its stately carved archway and wooden door, made an especially memorable backdrop.
