Jenna and Jonathan’s wedding at Beck Chapel at Indiana University was a beautiful day from start to finish. The couple met when Johnathan and Jenna lived two floors apart in the same dorm during freshman year of college. One day he was taking the elevator and met one of Jenna’s roommates who he became friends immediately. A couple of weeks later her roommate introduced the two of them, and they ended up spending the whole night talking and getting to know one another. They spent almost every day after that together and, a couple of weeks later, Jonathan asked her to be his girlfriend after they attended a football game together.
At the moment, Johnathan is currently attending IU to get his Ph.D. and Jenna works as a systems engineer. Jonathan is the most fun, happy, laid-back person Jenna ever met, while she tends to be more quiet and serious. They have been together for almost five and a half years now, but a little over half of that time has been spent long distance, so they are thrilled to finally be getting married and have the chance to really create a life together! I was so excited to photograph the next step of their love story together!
When their wedding day finally arrived, you could feel the love in the air everywhere they went. After getting ready, it was time for their first look! As a wedding photographer, this is one of my favorite moments of the day. When the bride and groom get to share this special moment together before officially walking down the aisle. Their first look took place at Rose Well House, which was a stunning location for this perfect moment.
Extended bride and groom portrait session at Indiana University
After their first look, we had time to really enjoy our time together and do an extended portrait session. The bride & groom photos really show off Jenna’s beautiful dress. There were so many lovely places around the university for us to stop at and grab some beautiful photos. This was such a fun part of the day, and I know the bride and groom are going to have so many beautiful photos together to remember their special day.
After the extended photo session, it was time for Jenna & Jonathan to tie to knot with an intimate ceremony. The wedding ceremony took place in the Beck Chapel with immediate family and close friends. You could feel the love they shared for each other as they exchanged vows. I am so excited for them and eager to see what the future holds for these two!
I am always so grateful when my couples choose me to help them create and capture the memories for their wedding day. I know that these wedding photos are so important and will serve as beautiful memories for them for years to come as their lives grow together! If you are looking for a wedding photographer for your big day, drop me a note! I would love to hear your love story and what you have planned for your big day!
