I had the pleasure of shooting Cassie & Devin’s wedding at Sycamore Farm. It was such a beautiful day from start to finish. Getting to capture their love on camera was such a treat. The two met through mutual friends, and the rest is history. Cassie is a bit of a teacher, enjoys watching trash TV and her favorite treats are cookies. Devin is a fan of the gym and enjoys working out. As a couple, Cassie is a bit more of the spontaneous type. Devin, on the other hand, is a bit more methodical. That’s what makes their relationship work so well! They enjoy going on long walks, playing cards and cooking together. Above all, Devin loves making Cassie laugh, which is just the sweetest thing ever.
Wedding at Sycamore Farm
Their wedding was very simple, which made it even more special. The simplicity allowed the couple to really focus on celebrating the love they share. Cassie and Devin are very low maintenance and trusted my thoughts and views on photo-taking, they were very open to all my ideas.
The celebration started off with a beautiful first look that the couple shared. After exchanging first looks and sweet words, it was time for their outdoor ceremony. The ceremony focused on their love story and included a candle lighting ceremony as well.
After the ceremony, their rustic outdoor reception followed. There was tons of dancing and instead of cake cutting, Cassie and Devin celebrated it by making smores on a mini tabletop fire.
Their wedding venue is nestled in the south of Bloomington with a conversion space that the bride and groom used for cocktail hour and dancing later in the evening. Their venue has so much space around it for a variety of scenery and a mini horse farm right next door. This made for so many beautiful photo opportunities.
