This sunset elopement on Indian beach was absolutely breathtaking to shoot. I got to visit the Oregon Coast for the first time, and it did not disappoint. During my time there, I got to explore and photograph an elopement-styled shoot. I connected with amazing vendors who put the styled shoot together and made friends with other photographers.
On the second day, we went to a cabin in the morning and then to Ecola State Park in the afternoon. Towards the evening we went to Indian Beach to roast marshmallows for smores and witnessed the stars as it got dark. I have never seen so many stars!
Elopement on Indian Beach
Denise and Brad wanted an elopement with an ocean view and always loved visiting Indian Beach. Located in Ecola State Park, this sandy beach is secluded, and perfect for elopements. The couple brought their dog, and made sure to have some hiking gear on hand for afterward! Even their pup had a hiking bag on! These two just love being outdoors, so a beachside elopement was perfect for them.
For this adventure elopement, Denise wanted to wear a comfortable dress that she could hike in and take on the beach! So, she chose Miles by Wtoo, which was perfect. The chiffon skirt added lots of movement, and the draped bodice featured a little touch of lace. It was perfectly effortless and chic!
For this late summer elopement, they chose a color palette of mauve, orange, and burgundy. Brad wore a rust-colored velvet suit jacket, that tied in well with Denise’s bouquet by Noble Floral Co. Her bouquet was filled with mauve roses, orange lilies, and burgundy poppies.
As the sunset over the ocean, these two cuddled up for some portraits. The evening glow was so incredible, and it was one of the most beautiful evenings I have experienced! We stayed until after the sunset to capture the incredibly starry sky. The couple had a bonfire, roasted marshmallows, and ate s’mores while stargazing – it was incredible!
Out of state weddings
The entire trip was so much fun, and I was sad to say goodbye to the gorgeous views. But I am glad I have taken so many photos that will help me keep the memory of this trip alive! This shoot reminded me just how much I love traveling. If you are looking for a wedding photographer, I would absolutely love to shot your intimate wedding ceremony and would be more than happy to travel out of state!
