Bonnie and Avery’s intimate fall backyard wedding took place at a family home in Washington, Indiana. Due to the pandemic, it was an intimate event with just their closest friends and family, which made it all the more special. The wedding was truly a day filled with beautiful emotions and memorable moments.
Before the wedding, the couple took some time to write each other letters. This is such a great idea, especially because the day goes by so fast! Writing each other little letters is such a great way to connect before the business of the day happens. It also gives couples a chance to connect privately before the ceremony. Another special moment was when their dog, Layla, made an appearance at their ceremony. She was the star in many of their photos as well!
One of the most important moments for Bonnie was having a first look with her dad. You can see from her smile just how special this moment was for her. This is always such an emotional time, and it gives the father and daughter time alone to bond. I just love photographing these special moments!
Intimate Fall Backyard Wedding with jewel tone wedding décor
The color palette was colorful, with fall jewel tones as the inspiration. Each bridesmaid wore a different color bridesmaid’s dress in shades of navy, burgundy, gold, and red. I personally love getting the opportunity to photograph such gorgeous and vibrant colors! The bride’s bouquet featured pampas grass with red and gold flowers and lots of greenery.
Being invited to photograph Avery and Bonnie’s big day was such a joy! It was an honor to be part of such an intimate and special day. My goal is always to capture all of my couple’s wedding day in a way that brings back all of the memories and emotions for years to come. If you are planning your wedding, send me a note! I would love to capture your special day!
